Ubuntu and the GMA500
Wednesday, October 28, 2009 19:12 5 CommentsDue to a change of circumstance I eBayed the Dell Mini 9 last week. Don’t get me wrong, it had been, and was still, superb as a cheap little Ubuntu dev box to SSH into however now I’m “on-site” at the Leeds office certain days of the week it just wasn’t a viable option to work on all day, cool as it was that mini keyboard was just too small for anyone larger than a woodland elf.
A Jaunty Angle

Yes, yes, Kubuntu 9.04 with it’s KDE4.2 eye candy was (is) indeed striking, lovely, slick, swish and shiny, of that there’s no doubt, however I couldn’t resist the temptation any longer so thought I’d best have a quick butchers at the core – the mighty Ubuntu itself (Alpha release 6 – 9.04 “Jaunty Jackalope”).
I *was* going to wait until the stable release on April 23rd but as no emails were arriving today I thought I’d fill a bit of time in (btw – MobileME decided to dump them ALL on me at 6pm – WTF? That’s me busy tomorrow then).
